FAQ
Take a look at some our most frequently asked questions. We
would be happy to personally help you with any other questions
by phone or e-mail.
Do your products come with instructions?
Yes. All products come with easy to follow step-by-step
instructions. You can also download the instructions from
our web site at any time. Simply locate the product on our
site and select the Installation Instructions link under each
products image. If you have any questions please contact us
via email or directly by phone.
How can I determine which remote will work for me?
Match the Brand and Model name located on the back of the
remote with the remotes listed on our web site. Some remotes
have been updated or discontinued and can be replaced using
either an updated model or one of our universal remotes. Check
the compatibility list for each remote. If you have any questions
please contact us via email or directly by phone.
What if I have lost my remote and don't know what
model it was?
Information regarding Brand and Model number can
be found on the receiver which is located near your garage
door operator connected by circuit wires.
How do I set the code for my remote control?
In some instances you can set the dip switch codes to match
your old remote or receiver. There are some smart-code remotes
that automatically read the codes by holding down the buttons
for a few seconds. In any case, all our remotes come with
fairly simple instructions to set the codes. Worst case scenario,
give us a call and one of our technicians will be happy to
help you.
Are there any universal remote controls
that can operate any garage or gate opener?
There are no remotes that can work with every single gate
operator but, we do carry universal remotes that work with
a wide selection of the most popular brands. (See Skylink
brands)
